CE Certified Flange Connection Wind Turbine Generator System 50KW
380V, IP54 Compatible With Energy Storage.
While small-scale wind energy may never become mainstream, wind
energy has enormous potential as a renewable, clean energy source
on a local and community scale. In fact, the Department of Energy
has called for raising wind energy's contribution to the nation's
electricity supply to 20 percent by 2030. Although wind power
generation has increased significantly every year, in 2007, wind
power generated only 0.8% of the country's electricity. The current
obstacles to achieving the DOE's goals are not technical, but
infrastructure: the challenge of delivering clean energy from
continuously breezy wind farms to people's homes hundreds of miles
away.

How does it works
The wind turns the blades: A controller energizes the turbine so
that the blades start spinning when the built-in anemometer reads
wind speeds between 8 and 16 miles per hour (mph). When winds
exceed 55 mph, the controller shuts off power to the turbines to
prevent damage from high winds. With the help of the wind vane, the
yaw drive orients the wind turbine so that it remains upwind as it
changes direction, maximizing efficiency. (A downwind turbine has
no yaw drive because the wind automatically blows the rotor away
from it.)
Rotating blades turn the rotor: The blades and the hub together
form the rotor. The pitch system turns the blades when necessary to
prevent the rotor from spinning in winds that are too high or too
low to generate electricity. Mechanical, electrical or hydraulic
brakes are also included if the rotor needs to be stopped manually
in an emergency.
The gearbox increases the speed: the low-speed shaft connects the
rotor to the gearbox, and the high-speed shaft connects the gearbox
to the generator. The gearbox increases the rotational speed from
30 to 60 revolutions per minute (rpm) to as high as 1800
revolutions. The gearbox is one of the heaviest and most expensive
components in a wind turbine.
Generator power generation: The built-in induction generator
produces 60 cycles of alternating current due to the higher
rotational speed generated by the high-speed shaft. Engineers are
currently exploring the possibility of using direct-drive
generators in wind turbines, which can generate electricity at
lower rotational speeds. This will eliminate the need for expensive
gearboxes.
