Type 409 metal( UNS S40900) can be defined as stable ferritic stainless material which includes better oxidation and corrosion resistance than carbon material. The ease of manufacturing put together with its corrosion resistance and economic system obviously expands its application for automotive exhaust and other low- automotive applications. It features increased molding properties and can be called "high performance" or "supertype" in the industry . Grade 409L( UNS S40900, EN 1. 4512) is a stabile version from 409, composed with proper chrome, low composition of carbon and nitrogen and adjunction of ti, all composition appropriate make Class 409L products have some homes, corrosion resistance, weldability and formability. Due to the lower chrome, Grade 409L was another low cost option for corrosion immune stainless steel.
