Clients who inquire about LG loose cells must intend to manufacture battery packs with proper outer casing, PCM/BMS and protection functions and be able to provide documents to prove this.
The LG MJ1 is one of the newest 18650 Li-ion batteries to enter production by LG Chemical. They boast specifications superior to all their predecessors of a certain class. They are a substantial 3500 mAh - making them one of the highest capacity 18650 cells ever produced. At the same time, what is especially interesting is theirdischarge rating. While most high-capacity cells trade-off for lower discharge ratings, sometimes as low as 2 or 3 amps - the LG 18650 MJ1 packs a rare 10 amps. This makes the battery ideal for more applications than most. From electric vehicles to batteries for IoT devices, the new generation of 18650s seems to be capable of doing it all. The MJ1 is poised to become a very popular model after production begins this summer 2015.
*(Update 2018) The MJ1 model is still one of the best, if not the bestcell for use in high-capacity battery packs. Availability is also excellent and cost per energy is low.
