1. Descriptions:
Hex Head Lag Screws are also commonly referred to as Lag Bolts due to their large size and hexagonal head. The two terms are used interchangeably in the fastener industry. Lag Bolts are most commonly used in wood construction. Suitable for use into wood or for a secure fixing when used with a nylon plug.
The hexagon head style allows speedy fixing with standard spanners and sockets even in recessed applications
Hex Head Lag Screws are available in Zinc Plating for moderate corrosion resistance, Hot Dipped Galvanized for higher corrosion resistance, and in 18-8 Stainless steel for the highest level of corrosion resistance. Both Hot Dipped Galvanized and 18-8 Stainless Steel are intended for use in marine and outdoor applications, and with any type of treated lumber.
