Description
 
The task of the common rail pressure limiting valve: the task of the pressure limiting valve is equivalent to a safety valve, it limits the pressure in the common rail, and when the pressure is too high, it opens the oil hole to relieve the pressure. The short-term maximum pressure allowed in the common rail is 150MPa or more - according to the design requirements.
When the common rail pressure exceeds the maximum pressure that the common rail pipe can bear, the pressure limiting valve will automatically open, reducing the rail pressure by about 30.0MPa.
Structure and function: The pressure limiting valve works according to the mechanical principle, it includes an external thread that is easy to screw on the common rail
housing, return pipe connection to tank, movable piston, pressure spring.
The housing has a hole at the connecting end to the common rail, which is closed by the conical piston head on the sealing surface inside the housing. Under the standard working pressure (135MPa), the spring presses the piston tightly on the seat surface, and the common rail tube is closed. Only when the maximum pressure of the system is exceeded, the piston is compressed by the pressure in the common rail, so the fuel under high pressure flows out. The fuel flows through the channel into the hole in the center of the piston, and then flows back to the tank through the return line. As the valve opens, fuel flows out of the common rail line, resulting in a reduction in the pressure in the common rail line.
