Ash veneer also known as white ash is a pale white to slight yellowish colored veneer with an amber or light brown tone.
Ash can be used as a substitute for Oak at times since their grains are so similar in appearance. Ash does have a little tighter grain though and that could be why the
wood bat industry prefers it over Oak.
Ash veneer is usually book matched and most commonly flat cut or quarter cut
(sometimes called rift cut).
