The IC3600SCBN1 was manufactured by General Electric, or GE, as a component in the Speedtronic Mark I-II system. This system was made to both control and automate turbines. The Mark I and Mark II or MKI and MKII were the first two generations of the Speedtronic Mark series. The Mark I was first introduced as early as 1968. Mark systems are responsible for controlling and automating the functions of gas turbines including startup, shutdown, and cooldown as well as operations such as the injection of water and liquid and gas fuels.

The IC3600SCBN1 contains several types of circuit board components. One (1) LED, or light emitting diode, is located on the left side of the IC3600SCBN1. This light-emitting diode features a red light. Also on the left side of the board is one (1) potentiometer. This potentiometer is solid blue in color. Potentiometers may also be known as variable resistors. Each potentiometer contains a small dial which allows the operator to adjust the level of resistance. Two (2) small resistors can be found on the right half of the IC3600SCBN1 printed circuit board. These resistors are brown and contain multi-colored bands. These bands are green, brown, gold, red, orange, and white. The bands on each resistor signify the device’s capacity for resistance. Many numbers are printed on the surface of the IC3600SCBN1 in yellow writing. These numbers range from one (1) to forty-eight (48). On the right edge of the IC3600SCBN1, there is a series of large prongs. These metal prongs can be used to attach additional components to the circuit board
