The Siemens Simatic S5 Input Module consists of eight independent and isolated VDC input circuits, Circuit isolation of 1500 VAC, field side status indicators, transient protection, surge withstand capability in compliance with IEEE 472-1974 and ANSI C37.90A, UL listed and CSA certified and designed for harsh plant floor environments.
The module converts signals from user devices to the appropriate logic level for use within the processor. Typical input devices include: proximity switches, limit switches, selector switches, float switches, pushbutton switches.

The S5-90U and S5-95U are programmable controllers for lower and medium performance ranges. They meet all the requirements for a modern programmable controller. To use these controllers optimally, you need detailed information.
