A load cell (or loadcell) is a transducer which converts force into
a measurable electrical output. Although there are many varieties
of loadcells, strain gauge load cells are the most commonly used
type which is comprised of a solid metal body on which
strain gauges have been secured to form a wheatstone bridge which
delivers mV/V output.
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of press load cell FCLB is around 1.5mV/V.
Power supply is normally within 3-12V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of button load cell FCLB is normally within
0...+18mV.
Example: Button Load Cell FCLB-500N with 1.5mV/V sensitivity
powered by 5V DC,the output range is 0~7.5mV.
A signal conditioner can be used to convert mV signal into
0-5V/0-10V/4-20mA for easy signal processing.
Example: Load Button Load Cell FCLB-2kN working with amplifier FSC(0-10V)-24V, the
force-voltage relationship will be 0-2000N compression
