A load cell (or loadcell) is a transducer which converts force into
a measurable electrical output. Although there are many varieties
of loadcells, strain gauge load cells are the most commonly used
type which is comprised of a solid metal body on which
strain gauges have been secured to form a wheatstone bridge which
delivers mV/V output.
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of press sensor FCFK is around 2.0mV/V.
Power supply is normally within 3-15V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of transducer FCFK is normally within
0-30mV.
Example one: Miniature Cylindrical Load Cell FCFK-50N with 2.0mV/V rated output powered by 3.3V
DC,the output range is 0...6.6mV.
Example two: Miniature Compression Sensor FCFK-100N with
2.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 5V DC,the output range is 0...10mV.
A signal conditioner can be used to convert mV signal into
0-5V/0-10V/4-20mA for easy signal processing.
Example one: Flange Type Compression Transducer
FCFK-200N working with amplifier FSC(0-10V)-24V,the
force-voltage relationship will be 0-200N compressive force VS
0-10V output.
Example two: Miniature Compression Force Sensor FCFK-50N working with amplifier FSC(4-20mA)-24V,the force-current relationship will be 0-50N press force VS 4-20mA output.
