Description

 

Synthetic sapphire is made of bauxite (a type of aluminum oxide), which is mixed with oxygen and hydrogen to bring the material to a melting point of 2050°C. It takes about 15 hours to form sticks (crystalline aluminum) like "corundum". Then the stone is fired again at a high temperature of 1800°C to ensure the stability of the material. Then, the corundum-like material is cut with a very thin diamond polishing blade, and the crystal is cut into thin slices with a diameter of no more than 0.02 mm. The machine can be processed, and then the surface is polished to the required standard thickness, and then the high and low surfaces are processed. After polishing, it can be made into an arc or semicircular crystal surface.
