Overview: Optically contacted zero order waveplate is made from two
multiple order plates with slightly different thicknesses. The two
plates are constructed by optically contacted method and this
design allows the optically contacted zero order waveplate to
operate well in relatively high power application and
wide wavelength range. The slow axis of one waveplate is aligned
with the fast axis of the other waveplate. The difference in
thickness is selected to obtain the required net phase change. Optically contacted zero order waveplates also feature particularly
fine wavefront distortion and parallelism as the optical path is
