Description of Seawater Desalination RO System
This range of seawater desalination systems is designed for high
output water requirements with the minimum electric power
consumption. These systems can vary from large desalination plants
to a smaller sized seawater to drinking water machine.
The raw water through the pretreatment, it can remove the suspend
solid, colloid, particle, impurities, turbidity, colloid, microbe,
color, taste in water. Then the wate through the ro system ,it can
remove all the impurities such as ions,bacteria,salts... The water
coming out is pure water, can be used for drinking water and life
use. The desalination rate more than 97%.
Working Process of Seawater Desalination RO System
Raw water pump→ mechanical filter(quartz sand filter)→ activated
carbon filter→sodium-ion exchanger(water softener)→ security
filter→ high pressure pump →Reverse osmosis→ Ozone sterilizer (UV
sterilizer)
How a Reverse Osmosis System Works?
Reverse osmosis (R/O) is a water treatment process in which water
is forced through a semi-permeable membrane that has very small
holes or "pores". RO performs a separation without a phase change.
Thus, the energy requirements are low.RO systems are compact, and
space requirements are less than with other desalting systems, e.g.
distillation.
Reverse Osmosis works by using a high pressure pump to increase the
pressure on the salt side of the RO and force the water across the
semi-permeable RO membrane, leaving almost all (around 95% to 99%)
of dissolved salts behind in the reject stream.

The pretreatment system includes water supply pump, multi-media
filter, precision filter and security filter, which mainly deals
with large impurities, residual chlorine and fine particles
contained in the raw water to ensure the water quality of the
reverse osmosis system.
The reverse osmosis system includes high pressure pump, RO reverse
osmosis membrane assembly, pressure regulating valve and cleaning
box, which mainly further processes the pre-treated raw water into
fresh water.
