Features Of Solar Wind Turbine :
• Uses magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) generators to convert the kinetic energy of solar wind particles into electricity. The solar wind consists of protons and electrons ejected from the sun.
• Requires very large collection areas, up to several kilometers in diameter, to collect the diffuse solar wind particles.
• Needs to be placed in space or in the upper atmosphere to access unobstructed solar wind. Ground-based turbines would not work due to atmospheric interference.
