AC220V DC24V 1.2A JOIL Type Solenoid Coil For JICI JISI JIFI JIHI Series Diaphragm Pulse Valves
Ths is a solenoid coil mounted on JOIL JICI JISI JIFI JIHI series diaphragm pulse valves, which is a coil of wire which wraps around a piston type of device. When a solenoid is energized, a magnetic field is created when current is applied and the piston (plunger) of the mechanism lifts off the port in the valve assembly- which results in the valve opening. When the power is shut off to the solenoid the electromagnetic field dissipates and the plunger assembly seats back down over the port and the valve shuts down.

Insulation & Heat Dissipation:
1. Class F is encapsulated Nylon coil. Class H is encapsulated
Phenolic coil (types H1 and H2 are open wound (not encapsulated)).
2. Consider the environment (see IP ratings). If the environment is
higher than the IP rating of the coil takes measures to protect (ie
shelter from the rain or heavy hosing).
3. Note that the coil must still be able to vent the excess heat
(do not lag or place coil in a sealed housing without ventilation.
This will cause the coil to heat stress and fail).
4. Coils can tolerate higher than rated ambient temperatures when
energized for short periods of time. This time varies depending on
the coil wattage, ambient and media temperatures.
5. Use the Power Saving plug to reduce the operating heat in
process coils (only available in 240v Ac and 24v DC) that are
energised for long periods of time in high ambient temperature
applications.
6. Other considerations are Power, Media temperature and AC ripple
in DC power supplies (they should be regulated and smoothed DC
supply). Also the valve elastomer selected for specific chemical
and media applications must be taken into consideration if
operating in a high ambient environment.
7. Another consideration type H1 and H2 coils are open wound (IP54)
and have the ability to dissipate heat quicker than the
encapsulated coils (IP65) even though they are all Class H rated.
Their lower IP rating must be taken into account.
8. Coils used in Process Systems valves are designed and tested for
continuous service 100% duty cycle (ED100%).
9. They all meet the IEC 216 thermal endurance specifications when
factory tested. Specific field applications are outside of our
control and the site engineer must test to suit the environment.
