The problems in processing:
1.Preparation and drying of raw materials

Since any impurities contained in the plastic may affect the transparency of the product, it is necessary to pay attention to the sealing during the storage, transportation and feeding process to ensure that the raw materials are clean. In particular, the raw material contains moisture, which causes deterioration of the raw material after heating, so it must be dried, and in the injection molding, the drying hopper must be used for the feeding It should also be noted that during the drying process, the input air should preferably be filtered and dehumidified to ensure that the raw materials are not contaminated.

 

2.Cleaning of the barrel, screw and its accessories

In order to prevent contamination of raw materials or existing materials or impurities in the recesses of screws and accessories, resins with poor thermal stability are present. Therefore, the screw are cleaned before use and after shutdown to prevent impurities from sticking. When there is no screw cleaning agent, the screw can be cleaned with a resin such as PE or PS. When the machine is temporarily shut down, the temperature of dryer and barrel should be lowered to prevent the material from staying at a high temperature for a long time and cause a drop.

Hard transparent PVC granulator process requirement

The barrel and screw are required to have high wear resistance. Threaded components are manufactured from highly wear-resistant cemented carbide. When uses for glass fiber reinforced processing, it is 6 to 8 times longer than conventional nitrided Steel. The barrel uses a bimetallic bushing to improve wear resistance and extend the life of the barrel. The bimetal bushing is a layer of SL100 high wear-resistant alloy with the thick of 1.5-2.0mm on the inner wall of ordinary steel.

 

It is especially machined and has a hardness of HRC 58-64. The upper-stage co-rotating twin-screw extruder can be provided with a venting zone to remove moisture, entrained air and volatile components from the material. A sealing element shall be arranged on the screw upstream of the exhaust port to seal the melt to establish a high pressure; in the exhaust zone, that is the screw section facing the exhaust port, the material should be filled in the groove Low and connected to the atmosphere or vacuum pump. In order to seal the melt and establish a high pressure a reverse threaded element, a reverse kneading disc or a pressure regulating value can be used in the venting zone to create a low fullness and thin melt layer, allowing the material to have an exposed free surface and a long residence time to facilitate venting.
