Description:
Tetramisole is indicated for the treatment like Haemonchus sp,
Ostertagia spp, Trichostrongylus spp, Nematodirus sp, Bunostomum
spp, Oesophagostomum spp, Cooperia sp, Dictyocaulus sp, Ascaris
suum, Strongyloides ransomi; Metastrongylus spp, Oesophagostomum
sp, Ascaridia spp and Capillaria. Within 24 hours therapeutic blood
levels are obtained. Tetramisole is mainly excreted in urine.
Indication:
Tetramisole is intended for the treatment of different worm
infection in cattle,swine and poultry; Dictiocaulosis,
Haemonchosis, Bunostomosis, Oesophagostomiasis, Nematodirus,
Cooperiosis, Strongyloidiasis, Ascaridosis, Oesophagostomiasis,
Strongyloides, Trichocephalus, Metastrongilosis, Ascaridosis,
Capillariasis, Heteracidosis and Singamoz.
Dosage and Administration:
(15 Mg active substance/kg body weight)
Lambs, Kids: Half bolus / 20 kg body weight
Cattle, Sheep, Goats: 1bolus for 40kg body weight to be mixed in
feed.
Poultry: 1bolus for 6-12kg body weight to be mixed in feed.
Precautions:
Do not overdose.
Do not use during pregnancy. Especially for the first 45 days of
pregnancy.
Long-term continuous use can cause drug resistance and crossed drug
resistance.
Adverse effects:
At normal dose level animal rarely show any side effects, the
chemotherapeutic index for tetramisole bolus is 3-4 times the
recommended dose.
