Ferrite magnets are composed of ferric oxide, barium oxide, strontium oxide and other oxides. They are hard and brittle materials with +/-2% tolerance, which require diamond wheels for grinding to the close tolerances.
Ferrite Magnets are also called Ceramic Magnets. Since the 1950s, hard ferrite(ceramic)magnets have been widely applied, compared with other permanent magnets, ferrite magnet is cheap.
