GYTC8S is a type of self-supporting outdoor fiber optic cable, suitable for aerial applications. It is endowed with features of high moisture and crush resistance.
Its metal strength member is made up of stranded wires as the supporting part, which is completed with a Polyethylene (PE) sheath to form a figure 8 structure. In addition, the cable has an external Corrugated Steel Tape (CST), which, along with the PE outer sheath, provides both crush resistance and gun shot resistance. A central steel-wire strength member, surrounded by a loose tube and water blocking system, strengthens the tensile strength and enhances the cable's performance.
