PDC is a new-fashioned superhard compact material. It not only has the feature of wear-resisting of polycrystalline diamond, but also has the advantage of lash-resisting, high-elasticity ofalloy. Since PDC drill bits last many times longer than the equivalent bits with tungsten carbide insert, the operators can remain in the safe environment away form the unsupported roof.

4.Feature
Compared with tungsten carbide, PDC roof drill bit has the following advantages:
The speed is similar to roof drill bit made by tungsten carbide when it does the drilling to soft rock. While the speed is greater by 10%-30% when it does into the medium-hard rock; in the meanwhile, it solves the problem that the tungsten carbide roof drill bit could hardly do the drilling during the rock-drilling process when f≥8.
