The Allen-Bradley 1756-EWEB, or Enhanced Web Server, is a module that provides access to information from the control system via a web browser. This also allows for the remote monitoring and modification of control system data, which is within the same chassis, using XML web pages. The 1756-EWEB module lets you route messages, flash upgrade modules, and upload or download programs. Thus, the 1756-EWEB module acts as a bridge to access the target device. Custom web pages that are fitting for your application can also be created through this module. With the ASP function, you can populate your web page with live controller data. This feature is limited because the 1756-EWEB module can only store up to 5 MB worth of web pages and data views.
