1. Basic introduction to rotary kiln for active lime production
Lime rotary kiln alias drum rotary kiln, advanced structure, lime
rotary kiln reliable rotary kiln with combined scale seal at both

Taking a 750T/D production line as an example, it can save 5198
tons of standard coal/year, 1.24 million kWh/year of electrical

making and 25 million kWh per year for alumina and other
industries.
A single production line with a daily capacity of 750 tonnes saves
5,198 tonnes of standard coal and 1.24 million kWh of electricity
per year. The 1,000 tonne per day active lime technology can reduce
overall system energy consumption by 12-15%. The equipment is
widely used in the steel, magnesium metal, calcium carbide, alumina
and paper industries.
2. Rotary kiln technology for active lime production
The active lime production line is mainly composed of three main
engines: vertical preheater, rotary kiln, vertical cooler and
exhaust gas treatment system, coal powder preparation system.
The crushed limestone is stored in the silo and transported to the
top bin of the preheater by the conveying system. Preheater top
bin, by the upper and lower 2 material level meter to control the
amount of material, and then through the lower material tube will
be uniform distribution of limestone to the preheater chamber.
The limestone is heated in the preheater by the high temperature
flue gas at the end of the kiln and then pushed into the rotary
kiln by a hydraulic pusher. The limestone is calcined at a high

enters the vertical cooler where it is cooled by the cold air
drummed into the cooler and discharged. The pre-heated secondary
air enters the kiln and the exhaust gas is discharged through the
exhaust gas treatment at the end of the kiln.
3. Technical characteristics of rotary kiln for active lime
production
(1) Advanced structure, low pressure loss vertical preheater can
effectively improve the preheating effect, the preheated limestone
into the kiln decomposition rate of up to 20 ~ 25%, and can use 10
~ 50mm of fine-grained limestone.
(2) Reliable combined scale seals at both ends of the rotary kiln,
so that the air leakage coefficient is less than 10%, and the use
of composite refractory lining to reduce radiation heat loss.
(3) Filled, zone-ventilated round or square vertical coolers, so
that the limestone temperature out of the cooler is: 80°C + ambient
temperature for easy conveying and storage, and to preheat the
secondary air into the kiln to over 700°C, reducing moving parts
and special materials.
