Oil proppant is also called oil fracturing proppant. When deep oil and gas wells are exploited, the high closed pressure and low permeability deposits are fractured to make the oil and gas bearing strata fractured and oil and gas come out from the channels where the fractures are formed. At present, the commonly used proppants are mainly quartz sand, bauxite ceramsite sand and resin-coated composite particles. However, it is not suitable for deep wells with high closure pressure because of its low strong bottom and poor sphericity, which reduces fracture conductivity. Resin-coated quartz sand composite particles have improved sphericity, strong corrosion resistance and good conductivity, but the product retention period is short, the cost is too high, it is not easy to popularize in today's cost-oriented. Ceramic granule proppant using bauxite ceramics process has high density, good sphericity, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and high pressure resistance. Time cost can be better controlled, so it is more and more widely used in oil and gas fields. Practice has proved that the production of oil wells fractured with ceramsite oil proppant can be increased by 30-50%, and the service life of oil and gas wells can be prolonged. It is the key material for the exploitation and construction of oil and gas wells with low permeability. It can not only increase oil and gas production, but also prolong service life of oil and gas wells.

Performance requirements of petroleum proppants:

1. The proppant should have enough compressive strength and wear resistance, be able to withstand the strong pressure and friction during injection, and effectively support artificial cracks.

2. The relative density of proppant particles is low, so it is easy to pump into the well.

3. Supporting agent particles do not react with fracturing fluid and reservoir fluid at 200 degrees. The maximum permissible value of acid solubility should be less than 7%.

After crushing and grinding bauxite as the main raw material into fine powder, mixed repeatedly with various additives, granulated, polished and sintered at high temperature, the product has the advantages of high compressive strength, low density, good sphericity, high finish and strong conductivity. After testing by the support evaluation laboratory of Langfang Branch of China Petroleum Exploration and Development Research Institute, the performance indicators fully meet the SY/T5108-2006 and SY/T6302-1997 standards, and are at the leading level at present.

1. According to the fragmentation resistance, they are 52 MPa (7500 psi), 69 MPa (10 000 psi), 86 MPa (12 500 psi) and 102 MPa (15 000 psi).

2. According to volume density, it can be divided into low density, medium density and high density.

3. According to specifications, they are 12-20 mesh, 16-20 mesh, 16-30 mesh, 20-40 mesh, 30-50 mesh, 40-60 mesh, 40-70 mesh, 70-100 mesh, etc.
