Application
Ideally suitable for small scale boardrooms and meeting rooms, Large Meeting Room, Large lecture seminar.
First off, using the built-in headphone jack, you should expect some latency, depending on your recording program or gaming console. (While the Stream Mic can be used as its own monitoring system if there are no headphones connected to it, your recording software will only display it as a recording device, not an output device as well.) The latency is a bit annoying. Using the mic with GarageBand, for instance, produces a very slight slapback delay when monitoring. Of course this doesn't affect the recording itself, though it can affect a vocalist's delivery. Plenty of the other USB mics we test included a zero-latency headphone jack—the Serien Elite is one them.
