This is 20mm linear motor. It has a copper slider with two linear bearing, with the help of linear bearings, the stability of slider is greatly improve.
The lead screw is regular M3*0.5P thread, so when the motor rotate one turn, slider will move one pitch (0.5mm). Step angle of the motor is 18 degree, so when the motor takes 20 steps, it will rotate one turn. Step length of this motor is 0.025mm.
This motor is very useful for precise linear control, and the thrust of the slider can reach over1 KG (over 10N of thrust)
The stroke of this motor is 21mm.(stroke means how much distance it can travel from both ends)

About linear stepper motors
A linear stepper motor has lead screw to convert the rotation
movement into linear movement. Stepper motors with lead screw can
be considered as linear stepper motor.
A slider linear stepper motor contains a bracket, slider, and
supporting rods are added, based on the external drive linear
motor’s design. Because supporting rods provide anti-rotation
mechanism for the slider, slider can only do linear movement.
The lead screw’s lead equals to its pitch, and when motor rotates
one turn slider moves exactly one pitch of distance.
For example, if motor’s step angle is 18°, it means it takes 20
steps to rotate one turn. If the lead screw is M3*0.5P, pitch is
0.5mm, slider moves 0.5mm for each revolution.
Motor's step length is 0.5/20=0.025mm. This means when the motor
takes one step, the linear movement of the screw/slider is 0.025mm.
For motors with the same diameter and torque, the longer step
length it has, fast linear speed it will have, but smaller thrust
will have at the same time.
