Characteristics of Pipe vs Tubing

A few main characteristics separate tube from pipe:
Shape - Tubes can be rectangular, square, or round. Pipes are always round.
Measurement - A tube is usually ordered wall thickness and outside diameter. A pipe is usually ordered by use of nominal pipe size (NPS) standard and specifying schedule number and nominal diameter
