1. SS Pall Ring Introduction:

3. SS Pall Ring History:
Pall ring was invented by German BASF in 1940s. It was an
improvement of the Raschig ring. The difference for the Pall Ring
is the addition of two rows of punched and formed fingers. This
adjustment provides a significant performance increase: the
capacity and efficiency is improved and the pressure drop is
reduced. Finally, the use of pall ring indicates opening pore type
packing was accepted by the world gradually.
1. Pall rings, have more than 50% higher capacity than raschig
ring.
2. The pressure drop is only half of the raschig ring.
3. The relative efficiency is about 30% higher than that of raschig
ring.
