Weld Electrode Tips Wheels For Seam Welding Machine, Custom Resistance Seam Welder Welding Consumables

Welding wheel is electrode wheel of welding seam wheel machine. Seam welding machine is similar to spot welding machine, but different are that electrode of spot welding machine is rod and welding is instantaneous discharge. Electrode of seam wheel machine is two rounds of electrode and electrode discharge is continuous or interval discharge.

An electrode wheel made of copper alloy is a component used in seam welding machines. Seam welding is a type of resistance welding process commonly used for joining sheet metal components.

The electrode wheel is designed to apply pressure and conduct electrical current to create a weld between two metal surfaces. It typically consists of a copper alloy disc that rotates and applies pressure onto the workpiece. The copper alloy is chosen for its excellent electrical conductivity, high thermal conductivity, and good wear resistance.

The round electrode disc is the part of the electrode wheel that comes into direct contact with the workpiece. It is usually smooth and flat to ensure even pressure distribution and optimal electrical contact during the welding process. The round shape helps in achieving a consistent and continuous weld along the seam.

The copper alloy electrode wheel and round electrode disc are essential components in seam welding machines, as they provide the necessary electrical conductivity and mechanical pressure required to create strong and durable welds in sheet metal applications.

The materials of welding wheels include chromium zirconium copper, alumina copper, beryllium copper, beryllium cobalt copper, tungsten copper, rare earth copper alloy, etc. Commonly used materials are chromium zirconium copper and beryllium copper. We mainly select materials based on the usage conditions, welding materials and required welding life. The welding wheel can weld galvanized sheets, low carbon steel, low alloy steel, coated steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, etc.

The welding wheel refers to the electrode wheel of the seam welder. The electrodes of the seam welder are two wheel-shaped electrodes, the upper and lower ones, and the discharge is continuous or interval discharge. The welding wheel is suitable for continuous welding operations at the joints of thin metal sheets, and is widely used in the welding of heat exchangers, radiators, automobile fuel tanks, iron cans, etc. During welding, the upper and lower wheel-shaped electrodes clamp the workpiece to be welded, and the welding wheels act as electrodes, respectively releasing positive and negative currents through the workpiece to be welded, so that the workpieces are contacted to generate heat, and the workpieces are fused.

The electrode wheel made of copper alloy is primarily used in seam welding machines for joining sheet metal components. Seam welding is a process commonly used in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing, where a continuous and leak-proof weld is required along the length of a seam.

The electrode wheel, along with its round electrode disc, serves several important functions in the seam welding process:

Electrical Conductivity: Copper is an excellent conductor of electricity, making it an ideal material for the electrode wheel. When electrical current passes through the wheel, it transfers the energy to the workpiece, generating heat at the interface and facilitating the welding process.

Pressure Application: The rotating electrode wheel applies pressure to the workpiece, ensuring proper contact and promoting effective heat transfer. The pressure helps to create a tight joint between the metal surfaces, resulting in a strong and durable weld.

Heat Dissipation: Copper has high thermal conductivity, meaning it can efficiently dissipate heat generated during the welding process. This helps prevent overheating and distortion of the workpiece, ensuring consistent and controlled welds.

Wear Resistance: Copper alloys used in electrode wheels are often chosen for their good wear resistance properties. The rotating motion of the wheel and the friction between the electrode disc and the workpiece can cause wear over time. Copper alloys are selected to withstand these conditions and provide a longer service life for the electrode wheel.

Overall, the electrode wheel made of copper alloy plays a crucial role in seam welding by providing electrical conductivity, applying pressure, dissipating heat, and ensuring wear resistance. These properties contribute to the successful and efficient creation of continuous, high-quality welds in sheet metal applications.
