Marine Rubber Ship Airbag Boat Inflatable Rubber Airbag Ship Launching Airbag Rubber Airbag

The use of marine airbags to launch a ship and to land it back in a dock is a very novel process. The concept was developed in the year 1981 in the Jinan province of China. In these past thirty years, this concept has undergone a lot of development and revolution and is now one of the most recognised methods of launching and landing a ship.

Salvage Rubber Airbag is made of rubber material, which is different from the metal material another salvage equipment. It can produce water buoyancy, the overall sealed, submerged in water can bring huge buoyancy, So it is mainly used for salvage sunken Vessels, weight lifting and moving and some other emergency rescue projects etc.

Through filling the compressed air to produce buoyancy, then using buoyancy to salvage, easy operation and safe and reliable.
In addition to hang a vessel in a fixed position or connected with lifting jack of the bottom of Vessel, Marine Rubber Airbags also can be placed inside the Vessel cabin, through filling out the cabin water to provide buoyancy.

The use of airbags helps to remove the hindrance of using tows and tugs as launching and landing instruments. Moreover since the airbags use synthetic rubber and a high defined system as their core design, it has become easy to use such airbags for any ship that has a DWT (Dead Weight Tonnage) of less than 55,000.

Airbag Size:

Diameter (D):0.8m-2.0m
Effective length (EL):6.0m-24m
Total Length (TL):7m-26m
Cord layers:4,5,6,7,8,9,10, layers

Additionally, the revolution carried out in the process of using airbags as launching tools also has the advantage of being used for any kind of ship. This factor is very important because in the initial days when the marine airbags were newly launched in the shipping industry, only small boats which were flat-bottomed could use the facility of a marine airbag.

Another most important advantage of using an airbag for the purpose of launching ships is that the process is re-doable. The airbags after they have served the purpose of either launching a ship or landing a ship in a dock can be pressed out of the inflating gas and then folded for using them again at some future date. This ensures that there is no extra financial burden involved unlike when the more traditional methods of ship launching and shoring are used.

The main supporting elements of the slip are air bag . Ship transferring from the building area to the slip is produced approaching the deflated air bag under the vessel and inflating with compressed air. The launching is made on the air bags used as the rollers. This launch can be both uncontrolled and controlled. In the latter case the launching speed is regulated by the traction mechanism which is located at the head of the slip.

The distance between the air bags depends on the light-ship, the length and width, but not more than 6 m from the bag centers. To install the bag the space at least 25 cm in height and width at least the half of the circumference of the air bag is required.

Air bag (hereinafter - AB) for upgrading and launching of vessels and dragging heavy dimensional structures with flat basis (without protrusions). Also suitable for use as a pneumatic jack. Pneumatic bags are intended for ship transportation, repair and painting.

Pneumatic bag has two threaded bushings on the tapered ends, one of them is connected to the pressure control unit and the valve for the compressed air, another end is equipped with eyebolt to drag the bag during the operation

Air bags also allow for the landing of vessels in locations previously restricted only to dry docks. Years of trial and error with pneumatic roller bag technology has increased the ability of launching 100-ton ships to 13,500-ton ships!

4-layer bags that are 1.5m dia x 15m long for example contain a rubber content that is not less than 51%. The air-bags can safely hold 156-tons with a safe working pressure of 0.08MPa while rolling. When standing still the highest lifting pressure is 0.10MPa while holding 194-tons.

6-layer bags that are 1.5m dia x 15m long for example contain a rubber content that is not less than 51%. The air-bags can safely hold 234-tons with a safe working pressure of 0.12MPa while rolling. When standing still the highest lifting pressure is 0.14MPa while holding 272-tons.
