Transparent Shoulder ABL250/12 For Philips Toothpaste Tube With
Smooth Flip Top Cap
Laminate is a composite material which forms the complete tube body
of laminate tubes. Laminate consists of several PE layers (normally
3 -5 layers) with a barrier layer embedded in between. This barrier
layer can be made of different materials, mostly of EVOH or
aluminium. There are also laminates without barrier layer.
Currently Sanying processes laminates in thicknesses between 220 µ
and 425 µ.
★Common Barrier:
▶ EVOH
EVOH is a so-called flavour barrier based on PE. It prevents that
product can diffuse from the tube. In addition, this barrier
prevents substances from outside to diffuse into the tube and to
change or spoil the product by reacting with it.
EVOH offers good barrier properties for all common products like
cosmetics creams or gels, food products, household chemicals,
technical filling goods and oral care products.
▶ Aluminium
Aluminium is used as a so-called flavour barrier in some laminates
to prevent constituents of the product from diffusing from the
tube. In addition, this barrier prevents substances from outside to
diffuse into the tube and to change or spoil the product by
reacting with it.
The aluminium layer is embedded between several PE layers.
Aluminium offers the highest barrier quality. It is therefore
suitable primarily for very aggressive and highly reactive filling
goods, like depilatories or shaving creams, silicones, OTC products
and perishable food.
★Printing Method:
▶ Offset Printing
Main printing method is dry offset which enable printing up to 8
colors with gloss, semi-matt and matt finish. We have our ink
preparation which give us possibility to meet any color required by
customer. In area of graphic preparation we work with external
partners to develop designs in line with customer needs.
▶ Silkscreen Printing:
Sanying has all the required contemporary art facilities for screen
printing since it is the most preferred compared to other processes
such as dye sublimation or inkjet printing because of its low cost
and ability to print on many types of surfaces. Screen printing,
silk screening or serigraphy is a printing technique that creates a
sharp-edged image using a stencil. A screen print or serigraph is
an image created using this technique. Screen printing is preferred
due to the ability to print on diverse background substrates.
▶ Hot Stamping
The Hot Foil Stamping process is a thermal bonding technique that
results in the permanent adhesion of stamping foil to the target
surface. Sanying has modern facilities for this highly ornamental
and sophisticated process, whereby a metallic foil is applied to
the printing substrate through a heated die (also referred to as
‘Foil Stamping’ or ‘Foil Blocking’). Hot Foil Stamping is a type of
film that is widely used for creating a decorated sheet, which is
then applied to plastic, wood, leather and paper. Hot stamping foil
is available in a wide range of unique dimensions, colours and
patterns.

★Full Offset Printing:
.
With our full offset printing tube we can provide you with the
possibility of doing away with one of the last arguments against
the laminate tube – the unprinted seam. Thanks to the use of this
technology, the seam is simply printed with the rest of the tube,
and the usual overlapping is almost completely done away with.
By contrast with similar technologies presented previously on the
market, with our tube the complete wide range of possibilities for
refinement can be combined, such as matt tubes, spot coatings,
screen prints, blocking and embossing, etc.
And by contrast with other “inked-in seam” technologies for
laminate tubes, we made the deliberate decision to print the tube
directly on the surface using conventional processes (letterpress
or flexographic, optionally in combination with screen printing or
blocking and embossing). This also includes consideration of the
most important factor – the cost. This is because there is no
additional production step required, and the printing is no more
complex in scale than with our normal laminate tubes. The very
minor additional costs are due solely to the slightly lower cycle
numbers in the tube manufacturing process.
