Biogas combustion power generation is a biogas utilization
technology that has emerged with the continuous development of
large-scale biogas tank construction and comprehensive utilization
of biogas. It uses the biogas produced by anaerobic fermentation
treatment on the engine and is equipped with a comprehensive power
generation device to generate electricity and heat energy. Biogas
power generation has the characteristics of efficiency, energy
conservation, safety, and environmental protection, and is a widely
distributed and cost-effective distributed energy source. Biogas
power generation has been widely valued and actively promoted in
developed countries. Biomass energy grid connection accounts for
about 10% of the total energy in some Western European countries.
Biogas fermentation: The definition of biogas fermentation is: biogas fermentation,
also known as anaerobic fermentation or anaerobic digestion, refers
to the process in which organic matter (such as crop straw, weeds,
human and animal manure, garbage, sludge, urban domestic sewage,
and industrial organic wastewater, etc.) is decomposed and
metabolized under anaerobic conditions by a variety of
microorganisms with large numbers and different functions,
ultimately producing biogas.
Biogas power generation: Biogas power generation technology is a new energy comprehensive
utilization technology that integrates environmental protection and
energy conservation. It utilizes a large amount of organic waste
from industry, agriculture, or urban life (such as distiller's
grains, livestock manure, urban garbage, and sewage), and produces
biogas through anaerobic fermentation to drive the biogas generator
set to generate electricity, and can fully utilize the waste heat
of the generator set for biogas production.
The thermal efficiency of biogas cogeneration projects varies
greatly depending on the type of power generation equipment used.
For example, if a gas internal combustion engine is used, its
thermal efficiency ranges from 70% to 75%. However, if a gas
turbine and waste heat boiler are used, the thermal efficiency can
reach over 90% with supplementary combustion.
The biogas power generation technology itself provides clean
energy, which not only solves environmental problems in biogas
engineering, consumes a large amount of waste, protects the
environment, and reduces greenhouse gas emissions, but also turns
waste into treasure, generating a large amount of heat and
electricity, in line with the environmental protection concept of
energy recycling and utilization, and also brings huge economic
benefits.
