Description

The function of the Slurry pump impeller is to transfer the liquid to the outlet of the [pump. There are three main types of water pump impeller: one with both front and rear cover is enclosed impeller; Only with the rear cover plate is called the semi-open impeller; without either front or rear cover plate called open impeller. In addition, the structural forms of blades can be divided into cylindrical blades and twisted blades.

Generally, the impeller of closed water pump has 2-12 back-curved blades with high operating efficiency. For example, the single-suction centrifugal pumps are equipped with enclosed impeller. Because of the axial force, so some impeller in the root of the blade has a balance hole. The number of semi-open and open impeller blades is small, generally 2~5 pieces, most of which are used for pumping grainy liquid or sewage, such as the impeller of sewage pump.

The impeller is made from wear-resistant high chromium alloy cast iron (hardness≥58HRC,impact toughness≥9J/cm2). The impeller is fixed on the pump shaft with double thread, and the thread tolerances are inspected according to the pitch diameter of thread. Disassembly rings are installed at the rear of the shaft sleeve to make maintenance easy.

Materials

Water pump impeller material to have enough mechanical strength, and a certain wear resistance, corrosion resistance. According to the requirements of conveying medium, high chrome cast iron, stainless steel is used for mining slurry transferring.

1. A05 is a wear resistant white iron that offers excellent performance under erosive conditions. The alloy can be effectively used in a wide range of slurry types. The high wear resistance of alloy A05 is provided by the presence of hard carbides within its micro-structure. Alloy A05 is particularly suited to applications where mild corrosion resistance, as well as erosion resistance is required.

2. A07 Marten-sic white iron with moderate erosion resistance.

3. A49 is suitable for low pH corrosion duties, where erosive wear is also a problem. The alloy is particularly suitable for Flue Gas Desulphu-rization(FGD) and other corrosive applications, where the pH is less than 4. The alloy can also be used in other mildly acidic environments.A49 has an erosion resistance similar to that of Ni-Hard 1
