Technology Application

 

The carbon monoxide rich gas source is used as raw material and purified to a certain purity by pressure swing adsorption technology, which meets the requirements of industrial production.

The processing capacity of the methane purification unit is 100 ~ 10000nm3 / h, and the raw material is from pipeline natural gas. The content of carbon dioxide and C2 + in pipeline natural gas is less than 3% and 5%, respectively, with saturated water. In order to meet the purification requirements, CO2, C2 + and H2O in natural gas need to be removed to less than 100ppm, 50ppm and 1ppm respectively. Qualified products can be obtained by PSA purification technology. PSA desorption gas (mainly including CO2, C2 + and methane) is sent to the owner's boiler for combustion and then discharged. The plant runs continuously and the annual production time is more than 8000 hours.

Description of process

 

Pressure swing adsorption refers that different adsorbents have different adsorption capacities for different substances, wherein the adsorption capacity of the same adsorbent for the same substance will be increased with the increasing of the pressure, and pure gas with high purity can be obtained after reducing the pressure adsorbing capacity and the mixed gas separation.

The adsorption separation of gas mixture fills various adsorbents in the fixed adsorbent bed. After the reforming gas (gas mixture) enters the adsorption tower (adsorption bed) under certain pressure, CH4 and CO2 will form adsorption enrichment region at different positions of the adsorption tower due to different adsorption characteristics, the strongest adsorption component (CO2 ) is concentrated in the inlet end of the adsorption bed, the weakest adsorption component (CH4) is concentrated in the outlet end of the adsorption bed, and the enrichment region of the rest components are distributed in the middle of the adsorption bed according to the adsorption intensity so as to realize the purification of methane.

The equipment is arranged in framework and adopts the skid design and skid-mounted supply, so that civil engineering investment and relevant project construction cost can be saved greatly.

The main operation cost is instrument air, power consumption and equipment loss cost.

The main equipment is low-pressure container which is no need of special materials, simple in equipment and low in manufacturing cost and equipment maintenance cost.
