The process of orbital welding, which has been used by some in our industry, is no longer necessary to produce hydraulic Control Lines. Our production of seam-welded tubing uses TIG and laser beam welding machines to ensure high quality, repeatable welds.
Additionally, we have cold-drawing machines in our facility that allow us to produce tubing with OD sizes ranging from 1/8” to 1” and wall thicknesses from 0.028” to 0.095”. The materials that we commonly use are 316L, Duplex 2205, Super Duplex 2507, Incoloy 825, and Inconel 625.
Seamless & floating internal plug redrawn tubing supplied in the annealed condition is applicable to alloy UNS S32205. The collaspes pressure, test pressure, working pressure and burst pressure are listed in following table. All the pressures are at 100°F (38°C), neutral and static conditions. The theoretical burst pressure is based on minimum wall thickness and minimum tensile strength. The theoretical collapse pressure is based on minimum wall thickness and minimum yield strength.
