Meilong Tube specially manufactures seamless and redrawn, welded and redrawn coiled tubing which are made from corrosion-resistant austenitic, duplex, super duplex stainless steels and nickel alloy grades. The tubing is used as hydraulic control lines and chemical injection lines specially serving oil and gas, geothermal industry.
Unique manufacturing capabilities and processes allow Meilong Tube to produce the longest continuous chemical injection line tubing available in stainless steels and high nickel alloys. Our long length tubing coils are used extensively for chemical injection in subsea and onshore wells. The length without orbital welds which reduces the potential for defects and failures. Additionally, our coils have an extremely clean and smooth inside surface that is ideal for chemical injection systems. The coils offer short hydraulic response time, greater collapse strength, and elimination of methanol permeation.
Duplex 2205 is a nitrogen enhanced duplex stainless steel that was developed to combat common corrosion problems encountered with the 300 series stainless steels. “Duplex” describes a family of stainless steels that are neither fully austenitic, like SS304 stainless, nor purely ferritic, like SS430 stainless. The structure of 2205 duplex stainless steel consists of austenite pools surrounded by a continuous ferrite phase. In the annealed condition, Duplex 2205 contains approximately 40-50% ferrite. Often referred to as the work horse grade, Duplex 2205 is the most widely used grade in the duplex family of stainless steels.
The advantage of a duplex structure is that it combines the favorable qualities of a ferritic alloy (stress corrosion cracking resistance and high strength) with those of an austenitic alloy (ease of fabrication and corrosion resistance). Usage of 2205 Duplex stainless steel should be limited to temperatures below 600° F. Extended elevated temperature exposure can embrittle Duplex 2205 stainless steel.
2205 duplex stainless steel is a cost effective solution for many applications where the 300 series stainless steels are susceptible to chloride stress corrosion cracking. Stress corrosion cracking occurs when stainless steels are subjected to tensile stress, while in contact with solutions containing chlorides. Increasing temperatures also increase the susceptibility of stainless steels to stress corrosion cracking.
The combination of chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen convey the good resistance of 2205 to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion. This resistance is extremely important for services such as marine environments, brackish water, bleaching operations, closed loop water systems and some food processing applications. The high chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen contents of 2205 provide corrosion resistance superior to common stainless steels, such as, SS316L and SS317L in most environments.
All Meilong Tube tubing coils are continuous lengths without any orbital welds. They are put through a hydrostatic test of up to 10,000 psi that can be witnessed on site by third-party inspectors (SGS, BV, DNV). Other tests performed on the material include eddy current, chemical, flattening, flaring, tensile, yield, elongation and hardness test.
In addition, Vacuum Annealing is applied to injection lines to ensure that volaticlity of metallic oxides and removal of any residual degreasing solvents or drawing lubricants. These line will have a bright, aesthetically appealing surface as well close dimensional tolerances, enhanced mechanical properties, superior surface finish, high cleanness of inside surface and controlled ovality, eccentricity, and straightness.
We offer a wide variety of seamless and floating internal plug redrawn tubing, in the annealed condition and in continuous length without orbital joint welds. Tubing is available in various forms of Duplex 2205 UNS S32205, with a variety of outside diameters and wall thicknesses.

It's worth noting that the theoretical burst pressure listed above is based on the minimum wall thickness and minimum tensile strength, while the theoretical collapse pressure is based on the minimum wall thickness and minimum yield strength. All pressures are based on 100°F (38°C) neutral and static conditions.
For chemical injection systems, capillary coiled alloy tubes offer many advantages. The small diameter and thickness of the tubes allows for compact designs, and the use of coiled tubing helps to ensure reliability by preventing the introduction of unnecessary lines or connections.
Additionally, bare and encapsulated hydraulic control line coiled alloy tubes can be used for subsea safety valves. These tubes are specifically designed to resist corrosion in harsh environments and have the added benefit of being easy to install.
Velocity strings, work strings, and steel tube umbilicals are suitable for operations that require specific engineering structures and high-pressure applications. Steel tubes umbilicals offer greater flexibility than conventional umbilicals, so they are often used in geothermal applications.
