Refractory light weight insulation silica brick for industry furnace
Light silicon insulation brick is made of silica as the main raw
material SiO2 content is not less than 91% heat insulation
refractory products.The volume density of lightweight silicon
insulation brick is 0.9 ~ 1.1g/cm3, and the thermal conductivity is
only half of that of ordinary silicon brick. The thermal shock
resistance is good, and the starting temperature of the load
softening can reach 1600℃, which is much higher than that of clay
insulation brick.Thus the highest temperature of silicon insulation
brick can reach 1550℃.It does not contract at high temperatures and
even expands slightly.
Lightweight silica brick uses crystalline quartzite to be raw
material commonly, join flammable material in cooperate material,
wait like coke, anthracite sawdust, or form porous structure with
gas foaming method.Similar to the production industry of common
silicon brick, some mineralizers (CaO, Fe2O3) are added in the
ingredients to promote the transformation of quartz, and pulp waste
liquid is used as binder to make the brick have a certain
strength.In the use of coke or anthracite as combustible, because
the ash will be brought into Fe2O3 and Al2O3, the ingredients do
not need to add additional iron phosphorus.When the light silicon
brick is fired, the strong oxide flame should be maintained before
1200℃ to completely burn out the added material.
The mineral composition of light silica brick is 78% ~ 86% of
phosphor quartz, 78% ~ 86% of quartzite and 78% ~ 86% of quartz.The
compressive strength of general lightweight silicon brick is 2.0 ~
9.5MPa, and the thermal conductivity is 0.35 ~
0.42W/(m·K).Lightweight silicon brick has excellent fire
resistance. The softening temperature under load is close to that
of dense silicon brick and reaches more than 1620℃. There is only a
small amount of residual expansion, and its thermal stability is
better than that of dense silicon brick.Therefore, the lightweight
silicon brick can be used for a long time at 1500 ~ 1550℃ under the
high temperature condition without contact with the slag.

and glass furnace and other thermal equipment.According to the
different thermal equipment used, the silicon brick can be divided
into coke oven silicon brick, hot blast stove silicon brick and
glass kiln silicon brick, etc.

Also known as silicon insulation brick.Light refractories with
silica content above 91% and volume density below 1.2g/cm3.The
refractoriness and softening temperature under load have little
difference with the common silicon brick with the same
composition.However, due to a lot of pores, the compressive
strength, slag resistance, corrosion resistance and so on are not
as good as ordinary silicon brick, but the thermal shock resistance
is improved.
The use of fine silica as raw material, its critical particle size
is usually not more than 1mm, and the particles less than 0.5mm is
not less than 90%.By adding flammable substances in the ingredients
or forming porous structure by gas generation method, it is made by
firing.It can also be made into non-burning products.Mainly used to
require heat insulation or reduce the weight of the kiln without
direct contact with the molten material, not by the action of
corrosive gas, do not suffer from temperature changes of each
part.Used at high temperature, can not contact with alkaline
refractory materials.According to the different material, its
highest use temperature in 1200 ~ 1550℃.

2, diatomite brick: compared with other light insulation brick,
diatomite brick has small thermal conductivity.The temperature at
which it is used varies with purity.Generally below 1100℃, because
the shrinkage deformation of the products at high temperature is
larger.When pure diatomite is used as raw material, it needs to be
sintered at a higher temperature, and silica is converted into
scaly quartz. Lime can also be added as binder and mineralization
agent to promote the transformation of scaly quartz during
sintering, which is conducive to improving the heat resistance of
the product and reducing the flushing shrinkage at high
temperature.
3, clay insulation brick.Is made of refractory clay as the main raw
material Al2O3 content of 30%~48% heat insulation refractory
products.The production technology adopts the method of burning out
and adding material and foam method.Light clay insulation brick has
a wide range of uses, mainly used in a variety of industrial
furnaces do not contact melt and no erosion of other role of
insulation layer refractory materials, the use of temperature of
1200~1400℃.
4, alumina insulation brick.The products have high refractoriness,
good heat shock resistance, and are commonly used as high
temperature heat insulation layer for kiln.The operating
temperature is 1350~1500℃, and the operating temperature of high
purity products can reach 1650~1800℃.The heat insulation refractory
products are mainly made of fused corundum, sintered alumina and
industrial alumina.
5. Lightweight mullite bricks.Mullite as the main raw material made
of heat insulation refractory products.Mullite insulation brick has
the advantages of high temperature resistance, high strength, low
thermal conductivity and direct contact with flame. It is suitable
for lining of various industrial furnaces.
6, alumina hollow ball brick.Alumina hollow ball brick is mainly
used for a long time below 1800℃.It also has good chemical
stability and corrosion resistance at high temperature.Compared
with other light insulation bricks, alumina hollow ball brick has
the advantages of high safety temperature, high strength and small
thermal conductivity.The bulk density is also 50%~60% lower than
the same composition of dense products, can withstand the impact of
high temperature flame.
