Description

 

This QSFP28 to QSFP28 direct attach cable is a high-speed, cost effective alternative that supports to establish a 100-Gigabit link between QSFP-100G ports of switches within racks and across adjacent racks with a maximum reach of 5-meter.

The 100G QSFP28 Passive direct attach cable contains 8 high-speed copper pairs, each operating at data rates of up to 25Gb/s. Each QSFP28 port comprises an EEPROM providing product information, which can be read by the host system.

It has been programmed, uniquely serialized, and data-traffic and application tested to ensure it is 100% compliant and functional.

This Direct Attach Copper is compliant with IEEE 802.3, SFF-8665, and QSFP28 MSA standards.

1. Can you provide the 100G passive cables longer than 5m?

A: The 100G Passive Direct Attach Copper Twinax Cable ranges from 0.5m to 5m. The longest 100G Passive DAC cables are 5m, because the Passive DAC does not contain electronics for signal conditioning, and cable lengths longer than 5 meters will affect data transmission.

If a longer cable is required, we recommend our 100G QSFP28 Active Direct Attach Copper Twinax Cable (Part Number:GD-QSFP28-A9M), which can reach up to 9-meter.
