7. Power Cable Operating Characteritics:
1). Max.permissible continuous operating temperature of conductor(PVC/XLPE): 70°C/90°C
2). Max.short-circuit temperature of conductor shall not exceed(5s maximumduration) XLPE:250°C
3). The ambient temperature under in installation shall not below 0°C
4). The bending radius of single-core power cable shall not less than 20 times of the cable diameter;

 

The bending radius of multicore power cable should not less than 15 times of the cable diameter.

Although PVC insulated power cable is simple constructed, low priced and widely used, its operating temperature is too low. And its fatal defect is that PVC is a kind of poisonous material which will harm people's health.

 

Especially when cable catching fire, errosive gas such as chloride, will corrode relevant equipment and material, and do much harm to environment, which stop the fireman from saving people, goods and fighting with fire.

 

In recent years, for the purpose of fire proof, some countries or regions have declared to stop using PVC insulated power cable.

 

Hicorpwell  insulated power cable has fine hazard-matched stress breaking property. It won't give out poisonous gas when burned and do no harm to environment.

Manufacturing Standard:


We produced sioplas cable according to the standard IEC60502.

Application:


It is designed for electricity transmission and distribution, at rated voltage of 0.6/1kV and below.

Application Characteristics:


l Max rated temperature of cable conductor is 90ºC.
l Max short-circuit temperature of cable conductor ≤250ºC (within 5 secs).
l The laying temperature shall be ≥0ºC.
l The min. bending diameter of cable is stipulated as follows:
For single-core cable: 20(D+d)±5%, in millimeter.
For multicore cable: 15(D+d)±5%, in millimeter.
Where: D is the actual outer diameter of cable
d is the actual outer diameter of conductor
l Broken strength of cable:
For Al core cable: 4 x s (N)
For Cu core cable: 7 x s (N)
Where:Sis the total cross-section area of cable.
