Hot-dip galvanizing is a process used to coat steel or iron sheets with a protective layer of zinc. This process begins when the full hard steel is put through acid washing, followed by a rolling process in a pot of zinc to form a zinc film on the surface. Once completed, hot dipped galvanized steel sheet in coil (GI) is produced.
