Hot-dip galvanizing is a process that applies a protective zinc coating to steel sheet or iron sheet to prevent rusting. The process begins with full hard steel sheets that undergo an acid washing followed by a rolling process through the zinc pot. As a result, a layer of zinc film is applied to the sheet’s surface and hot dipped galvanized steel sheet in coil (GI) is produced.
