Cat5 network cable cannot achieve the simultaneous transmission and
reception of Gigabit network transmission, that is, the four cores
can only realize the reception or transmission of data on the
Gigabit network. The two cannot be performed at the same time, but
the specifications of the network ports are the same. , so Cat5
five-category 100M network cable and Cat6 six-category Gigabit
network cable cannot be completely used.
Cat5 network cables are no longer being used gradually. Today, 100M network cables mainly refer to Cat5e super five network cables. Cat5e super five network cables are 8-core twisted pair cables like Cat6 six network cables. Therefore, Cat6 six categories can be used. The network cable can be used for 100M transmission, and the Cat5e super five network cable can also be used for Gigabit transmission under certain conditions, and they can be used in common.
But it is worth noting that the crystal head of the Gigabit network cable and the crystal head of the 100M network cable are not universal. Their copper cores have different sizes, so the sizes of the internal holes are also different.
