Splicing of optical fiber is directly related to the quality and life of the fiber project, and the key point is the preparation of fiber end face. Splicing machine can recognize and accept very well if fiber surface is smooth, without burrs or defects, and it is able to make joint which meet the project requirements, if the fiber end face is not qualified, the splicing machine will refuse to work, or make joint with large loss which is not able to meet the engineering requirements.
