Overview

The main functions of this card are as follows:

This interface card processes bi-directional signal of thirty-two or sixteen channels of 2Mbit/s tributaries;
Convert signal from VC-4 signal of backplane bus into 2 048kbit/s through demapping;
Map 2 048kbit/s signal to VC-4 container through TU-12 and transmit it to backplane bus;
Accomplish card configuration management, fault management, performance management, path protection switching, system test and so on;
Report the status and alarm of this card through PAIS bus.
