IPG manufactures CW Ytterbium, Erbium, Thulium and Raman CW fiber
lasers. The power is between 100 - 2500 W and the wavelength range
is 1- 2 µm. Fiber lasers in other power ranges are diode lasers and
CW fiber amplifiers.
Higher output power 1 kW-100 kW CW fiber laser products include:
Ytterbium Doped Laser (1 μm), Erbium Doped Laser (1.5 μm) and
Thulium Doped Laser (2 μm). GLPN green quasi-continuous laser,
average power range 100-500 W.
Beam Quality:
Medium-power CW lasers are available in either single-mode or
multi-mode forms depending on application requirements. It should
be pointed out that since there is no change in the lateral thermal
gradient in the resonator, the quality and divergence of the beam
will not change when the power is adjusted, while the DPSS laser
can only be optimized at the nominal power, at this point , the two
are completely different.
Polarization:
Medium power CW lasers are usually randomly polarized, with linear
polarization being an optional configuration. IPG also offers
linearly polarized Ytterbium CW fiber amplifiers up to 1 kW. For

Direct modulation:
Direct modulation frequency in the kHz range is an essential
feature.
Power stability
Under stable ambient conditions, the power stability index is
usually <1% for more than 4 hours.
Cooling method
The YLM module is air-cooled, and the output power can reach 400 W;
the YLR rack-mounted laser is also air-cooled, and the output power
can reach 500 W; the TLR-200 is water-cooled.
Package
There are OEM modules or 19” rack mount units. The OEM is DC power
supply, while the rack mount units require 50-60 Hz single phase
power. In addition, the rack type is equipped with a front control
panel and LCD display, and the OEM module is Control via RS-232
interface.
