Piling pipes are the base of the construction industry. Since they have high strength, they are considered to be used for applications that have a high demand for strong structural characteristics. ASTM A252 is a specification which caters to this particular cause. The cylindrical ASTM A252 Pipe is used for piling either in the form of a shell for a cast concrete pile or it could behave as a permanent member that carries a load in the given application. The nominal wall of the cylindrical steel piling pipe is enveloped by this specification.
The classification of A252 Steel Piling Pipe is into three grades, with each grade exhibiting varying tensile and yield strength. These two mechanical properties are deemed relevant for pile driving. While the pipe for grade 1 has the lowest yield and tensile strength values, the mechanical properties of astm a252 grade 3 steel line pipe supersede the other grades. The tensile strength of grade 3 rounds about 456 Mpa and yield strength valued at 310 Mpa. A benefit of using these pipes is that they can be tailor-made to suit the specifications of a particular application, which in turn minimizes the cost. Since the astm a252 grade 2 pipe is durable and sturdy, businesses that use them do not have to invest in additional capital to secure extra components for structural support. Furthermore, a low cost of their set-up, in conjunction with ease in installation, make them commercially attractive. The astm a252 steel pipe can be examined and their safety could be tested prior to installation.
