Copper Core PVC Insulated Cable Underground Power Cable U1000R2V
Parameter:
Abbreviation:U-1000 R2V cable
Full name: XLPE insulated and sheathed power cable with rated voltage 0.6/1kV
Rated voltage: generally 0.6/1KV, or below 35kv
Executive standard: GB/T12706.1-2008
Features: It is a very commonly used power cable. Its function is the same as YJV cable most of the time. Although the overall performance is not as good as YJV cable, and it is gradually replaced by YJV cable, it is still available in many fields due to its low price. application.
Uses: Generally used as a power transmission hub, often buried in the soil or indoors, trenches, tunnels, the insulation distance between lines is small, no poles are needed, and it occupies a small area and basically does not take up space on the ground.

The difference between NYY cable and N2XY cable:
The full name of N2XY cable is copper (aluminum) core XLPE
insulated and PVC sheathed power cable;
The full name of NYY cable is copper (aluminum) core PVC insulated
and PVC sheathed power cable;
1. Different insulation materials
The insulating material used in N2XY cable is cross-linked
polyethylene, while NYY cable is made of polyvinyl chloride. Since
the insulation of the N2XY cable does not contain chlorine, it will
not produce a large amount of chlorine gas (chlorine is a toxic
gas) during combustion. In comparison between the two, cross-linked
polyethylene insulation has stronger high temperature resistance,
is more environmentally friendly, and has better performance than
ordinary PVC.
2. Different working temperature
Conventional N2XY cable allows the maximum operating temperature of
90°C, and the maximum temperature does not exceed 250°C when
short-circuited (within 5 seconds); conventional NYY cables allow
the maximum operating temperature to be around 65°C, and the
maximum temperature does not exceed 160°C when short-circuited
(within 5 seconds) . The difference in maximum operating
temperature determines that N2XY has a higher current carrying
capacity, and also determines that N2XY cable is better than NYY
cable in terms of overall performance.
3. Different working voltage range
Normally, the working voltage range of N2XY cable is 6~500KV, while
NYY cable is 1~6KV. Therefore, NYY cables are generally used in
low-voltage environments, while N2XY covers high, medium and
low-voltage environments. This is why the N2XY cable manufacturing
process requires higher levels.
4. Price and longevity
With the same specifications and models, the price of N2XY cable is
slightly more expensive than that of NYY, which may be the reason
why NYY cable is still alive. However, N2XY has a longer service
life, and is more resistant to high temperatures and safer. In
terms of long-term and safety factors, it is more cost-effective to
use N2XY cables.
Finally, residential projects are recommended to choose N2XY cable,
which is safer and more environmentally friendly. If the budget is
really limited, you can choose to use NYY cables in places where
non-human settlements and voltage and temperature requirements are
not high. All in all, the general trend is that N2XY cables
gradually replace VV cables.
