How to use


1. The rubber base and curing agent should be taken in accordance with their weight ratio. The amount of curing agent used will determine the pot life and the final performance of the vulcanizate.

 

2. Thoroughly mix the two components, ensuring that the bottom and walls of the container are scraped to incorporate all material.

 

3. Both the mixture and its container should be placed in a vacuum degassing tank to remove any air bubbles from the curing rubber. The mixture surface location will rise to 3~4 times higher than original and automatically break bubbles to collapse. Maintain the vacuum status for an

additional 4~6 minutes before releasing.

 

4. Pour the mixed rubber manually or mechanically, and consider performing a vacuum degassing after pouring.

 

5. The curing time is 24 hours at 25℃. Before use, additional vulcanization of 1 hour at 100℃ and 1 hour at 200℃ is necessary.

 

Packing, Storage & Shipping


The rubber base is provided in a plastic drum with a net weight of 20kg, while the curing agent is supplied in a separate plastic bottle or drum.

To preserve the quality of the product, it must be stored in a cool and dry location and kept away from substances such as acid, alkali, and metal organic salt. If stored in the original container with a seal, the rubber base and curing agent should have a minimum shelf life of six months.

There are no restrictions on shipping this product.

 

Attention


In order to avoid the inactivation of the curing agent due to prolonged exposure to air, it should be tightly sealed with a cap after each use. The presence of a substantial amount of sediment indicates that the curing agent is no longer functional. It is recommended to divide the curing agent into vials for regular usage.

The curing agent comprises tetraethoxy-silane and is flammable (with a flash point of 40.6℃) and can cause skin and eye irritation. It is crucial to take adequate protective measures to handle this substance safely.
