Urology Series- Ureteral Access Sheath, 10Fr×46cm
Introduction
Aiming at establishing a conduit during endoscopic procedures
facilitating the passage of endoscopes and other instruments into
the urinary tract.
A ureteral access sheath adapted for insertion into a urethra
includes an elongate tube.
Feature&Benefits:
The sheath provides ureteral dilation and a continuous working
tract for the introduction of endoscops and instruments during
ureteral access procedures.
Use DAXAN sheath to reduce the potential risk for trauma to the
ureter during repeated exchanges. The continuous working tract also
protects the didicate instruments and flexible endoscopes from
damage. Applying hydrophilic coating, the sheath can reduce surface
friction, then ease the damage to the ureter. Intended for one-time
use.
Intended Use:
It is used for the establishment of surgical pathway for endoscopic
surgery in Department of Urology. It helps endoscopy or other
instruments to enter the urinary tract and provides a channel of
continuous operation. And it can reduce the possibility of trauma,
and prevent the precision equipment and the soft endoscope from
damage.
Clinical application:
It is used to expand and establish channels for instrumentation
when patients with renal calculi or hydronephrosis are treated with
percutaneous nephrostomy dilation and endoscopic surgery.
In clinic, the expansion tube with sheath tube is implanted into
the human body under the guidance of guide wire, and the expansion
tube is removed, and the sheath tube is placed in the body for
surgical instruments or drainage catheter placement.
Because it can remain in the human body for a period of time,
reducing the pain of patients and the workload of nursing staff, it
is a common minimally invasive surgical instrument in clinic.
