[Item NO.] T330

[Expected usage ]

For transportation and preservation samples.

[Product introduction ]

It has cryoprotection and biological buffering effects, T Hank's solution, bovine serum albumin (BSA), HEPES, etc. can maintain the activity of the virus over a long time and temperature range, and reduce the rate of virus decomposition Increase the positive rate of virus isolation and detection; antibiotics can inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi in the specimen; phenol red as an acid-base indicator.

It provides a stable environment for sample collection, transportation and storage. The sample is sent to the laboratory for subsequent testing, which can be used for downstream nucleic acid detection and virus isolation to determine whether the collected sample is infected with the virus.

[Contents ]

Gentamicin, fungal antibiotics, Disodium phosphate, Monopotassium phosphate, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride, magnesium sulfate, Sodium Bicarbonate, glucose, BSA, Hepes, phenol red, swabs, etc.

[ Storage and shelf life]

Room temperature stable. It has a shelf life of 12 months.

[Steps]

1. Label information on the culture tube.

2. Sampling with a swab no less than 12cm.

3. Snap the swab into the transport medium.

4. Break off the swab and tighten the cap.

5. Fresh samples should be transported to the laboratory within 48 hours at 2 ~ 10 °C, otherwise should be stored at -70℃~-80℃.Samples should be inoculated and separated as soon as possible ,those that can be inoculated and separated within 48 hours can be stored at 2 ~ 10 °C. If can not be inoculated should be placed in-70 °C ~-80 °C preservation.

1.Sampling methods:

a) Nasal swab: The collector held the patient's lower jaw with his left hand and gently inserted the swab into the nasal passage of the nasal passage with his right hand. After a short stay, he slowly turned to exit. Use another swab to wipe the other nostril. Immerse the swab in the medium, squeeze the swab head several times in the medium, break the tail of the swab hard, and discard the tail of the swab.

b) Throat swab: Hold the tongue of the patient with the tongue depressor in the left hand. Hold the swab with your right hand to wipe the bilateral pharyngeal tonsils and the posterior pharyngeal wall, immerse the swab head in the medium, squeeze the swab head several times, break the tail of the swab firmly, and discard the tail . Nasal and pharyngeal swabs can be collected in the same medium.

c) Nasopharyngeal extracts: Tracheal and bronchial secretions are often sampled by this method. Mucus is collected from the nasopharynx using a collector connected to a negative pressure pump. The head is pushed out slowly, the mucus is collected and added to the culture medium.

d) Tissue samples: If necessary, collect tissue specimens for virus isolation, and the specimens are tissues.

e) Mycoplasma and chlamydia: Male:with a swab inserted about 2 cm urethra rotation, static for a few seconds to take material. Women: Wipe the cervical mucus, insert 1- 2cm into cervical canal with a swab and collect . Dip the swab head into the culture medium, squeeze the head several times in the culture medium, forcibly break the tail of theswab, and discard the tail of the swab.

Mycoplasma and chlamydia: male: insert the swab into the urethra at about 2cm and rotate, and static a few seconds to take the material. Female: Wipe off the cervical mucus and insert the swab into the cervical canal 1 ~ 2cm to take the material. Immerse the swab head in the medium, squeeze the swab head several times in the medium, break the tail of the swab hard, and discard the tail of the swab.

[ Performance Indicators ]

1. Appearance: Red Clear Solution.

2. pH:7.0±0.5.

3. Osmotic pressure: 280~340 mOsmol/kg.

4. Sterility: Culture medium clarified after 14 days.

5. Sample preservation: The virus samples were stored at 2 ~ 8 °C for 48 hours, and the nucleic acid test was still positive.

[ Notes ]

1. It is single-use product. Please use it in accordance with relevant regulations for waste disposal after use.

2. Forbidden to sample patients after wetting swabs with transport medium.

3. Tighten the tube cap after sampling.

4.Sampling should be submitted as soon as possible, transported at a low temperature of 2 ~ 10℃ within 48 hours,or should be stored -70 ~-80 °C for long time.Ohterwise it will affect the positive isolation rate of the virus.

5. It should be operated in a laboratory that meets the safety level.

6, It will cause the proliferation of bacteria and mold when the medium is transported at an inappropriate temperature. The antibiotics will inhibit the microorganisms in the previous, and should eliminate antibiotics when the virus is isolated to prevent microbial contamination.

7. Wash with drinking water half an hour before sampling.

8. Do not eat, drink, smoke or chew gum within half an hour before sampling.

9. Rinsing with water immediately whtn the reagent is accidentally adhered to the skin and mucous membrane.

10. The sampling tube shall not detect Dnase / Rnase.

11. Endotoxin detection is less than or equal to 0.05 EU / mL.
