Mild Steel Foldable IBC Container 1000L Galvanised Steel Folding
Slope Base Container
Introduction to the steel folding folding IBCs.
Intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), Totes and Tanks are ideal for
storing and transporting products such as liquids, solvents, or
granulate substances (food, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, etc.) in
large quantities. These industrial containers are also stackable
and their bulk packaging capability allow it to be a low-cost
solution for shipping products. The capacity of an IBC Tote Tank
ranges from 200L to 1500L depending on its type, Types of IBCs
include plastic IBC totes, stainless steel IBC tanks, and carbon
steel IBC tanks. The Joinwell Company also offers various IBC and
Tote accessories such as valves, funnels, mixers, nozzle kits, and
The folding IBCs are made from FDA approved and 100% recyclable
materials that provides a safe and secure reusable package. Folding
IBCs can withstand the effects of sun, wind, rain, ice or snow and
allow for a long-term outdoor storage. These are highly preferred
by manufacturers for storage of their products. Most of the demand
for folding IBCs packaging comes from food and beverage industry.
However, with the growing popularity of folding IBCs, it is also
finding its application in many other industries such as chemicals,
petrochemicals, cosmetics, etc. Folding IBCs is a part of the
latest trend in the packaging industry where various applications
are demanding containerization and returnable transport packaging.
Containerization has made it possible for the shipping industry to
transport products without being a financial burden. The folding
IBCs are also stackable. This helps in maintaining the efficiency
of storage at warehouses.
Folding IBCs have also streamlined the trade between countries. As
the emerging economies are now witnessing the rise in trade
activities and are expecting to double the amount of trade that is
carried out, there is an increase in demand for folding IBCs.
Folding intermediate bulk containers offer several advantages such
as reusability, leading to their wide applicability across various
end users. Another factor which drives the need for folding
intermediate bulk containers is their minimum contamination issue
since IBCs are made mostly through aseptic technology which
minimizes the need of drilling and consequently reducing the
chances of contamination. Intermediate bulk containers are used for
exports of almost every type of product which is a strong factor
driving the growth of this market.
Easy availability of alternate packaging products for various
applications to limit the growth of the folding IBCs market
There is a growing demand for packaging products, especially for
sustainable packaging. This has fuelled the growth of biodegradable
polymer materials such as polypropylene, leading to an alternative
replacement for the rigid form of bulk packaging, such as, folding
IBCs. Moreover, manufacturers, in order to reduce logistics cost,
ensure that they use forms of packaging products that render
efficiency in shipping and handling, leading to competitive
advantage. Another alternative available to them is the flexible
IBC. Flexible IBC carrier is simple to use and cost effective.
Moreover, flexible IBC offers advantages over folding IBCs such as
flexibility, variety in dimension, energy saving, and anti-static
properties. Such properties attract many manufacturers which in
turn hinders the growth of global folding IBCs market.
Bag in IBC container solution and advantages
This bag in box system for the fruit and vegetable processing
industry (tomatoes, citrus fruits, etc.). These are packaging
solutions adapted to the storage and transport of liquid food
products – juices, concentrates and pulps – that generally require
aseptic packages to maintain maximum freshness and long shelf life.
Aran offers a variety of aseptic products that combine various
features of volume and oxygen resistance according to the customer
requirements and preferences. These packages are made of laminate
films designed specifically to package edible liquids. They excel
in flexibility, various levels of oxygen barriers and are highly
compatible with external packaging such as drums, wooden boxes,
plastic crates etc.

Intermediate Bulk Container-A sustainable way for packaging.
The traditional folding bag-in-box cube container is a popular
storage medium for both liquid and dry goods. Unfortunately, the
cost of purchase has been a major consideration for many companies,
particularly those currently renting but wanting to own their own
Pool. This has now changed with the introduction into industry
Joinwell Packaging . Developed using knowledge gained from many
years of manufacturing this type of container, the Joinwell
Packaging combines the best of design with the advantages of low
cost sourcing. The IBC container is available as a liquid
bag-in-box or as a dry goods container that can be tipped. There
are some introductions regarding the IBC container:
- Fully hot dip galvanised frame for longevity. Subject to the
environment in which it is used and routine maintenance.
- 5mm HDPE food grade UV protected plastic side walls and floor,
thicker than any comparable container on the market, reduces
warping in heat placing less stress on fastenings.
- Two piece metal lockable galvanised lids are fixed to the side
gates. No more potential OH&S nightmares as employees lift 20kg
single piece lids. No more separate pieces to be lost in transit.
- An “Easy Lift” handle on front and rear gates takes the strain out
of erecting the container and reduces the opportunity for back
injury - another OH&S advantage.
- The standard liquid container has a full length sight glass to
monitor the level of contents and a full width drop down gate to
allow for easy access to the lockable discharge outlet. The
discharge outlet is low enough to assist with fully emptying the
container, yet high enough off the floor to allow for use with a
heater pad or discharge wand / spear.
- The dry goods container has a discharge ‘hopper’ gate at the bottom
of one side similar to that used within industry. It also has a
larger capacity of 1.2m³ compared to the liquid unit.
One advantage of the container is that it can be specifically
configured to a customer’s needs if the Pool requirement is as
little as one 40’ shipping container quantity (120 units). This
includes closely matching plastic panel colour to corporate
branding, adding identification plates or markings, as well as
changing gate orientation and features. It can also include a
change from the standard footprint to a 1200 x 1000mm footprint.
The Joinwell Packaging is tested to International Safe Transit
Association (ISTA) Standards and is manufactured in an accredited
facility by a major world leader in the manufacture of intermediate
bulk containers. It all adds up to excellent value at a very
